Blog 2 - The Best Concert/Holiday Ever...

Hello class! In this blog I will tell you about my trip to Istanbul, Turkey. I traveled in february of last year. I feel cold just remembering it! It was the vacation I had with my partner and our son of, at that time, a year.

One of the most beautiful places that I have visited in my life was Turkey during the vacations that I will relate. The words I use to describe this country are: crazy, pompous and particular. Her beauty is fascinating, but I felt like a stranger.

I went on this trip with my partner and our son. We had to carry my baby in a baby carrier since it was very cold, in fact it was snowing. And also, because it made me insecure not to see children on the street (because of the culture). The few times that I took it without a baby carrier, Turkish men used to invade our space a lot (from the surprise of seeing a baby outside the home) and tried to carry it, give it food, etc. Without my permission.

Being there I went to visit the Grand Bazaar. The Turks are the leaders of the trade. The art of selling is truly a skill. They have a solution for all the problems you may have to buy. What was most observed were decorative rugs and home decorations in general terms. I bought a set of cups to drink tea.

They also sell many spices, chocolates, and sweets. It is a giant place. And no woman is seen. Every now and then they had to stop the sales to pray. It was quite eye-catching. I also visited la Mezquita Azul, la Mezquita Santa Sofia, Mini-Turk (a miniature tour of turkey), el  Museo de Transportes, El Gran Bazar Egipcio, the Asian part of the country, among others. All fascinating.
